Despite not having any pre-existing medical conditions, Emma, 12, from Atlanta, is fighting to survive after getting the coronavirus
On March 15, Emma tested positive for coronavirus after being diagnosed with pneumonia. She is currently in stable condition while on a ventilator at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Scottish Rite Hospital.
According to family members, Emma had not traveled out of the United States prior to being diagnosed.
Even though elders and those with underlying medical conditions are most at risk from the coronavirus, this goes to show that even young people are susceptible to catching it.
