A 1948 plane crash in California took the lives of 32 passengers, including 28 Mexican farm workers being deported by the U.S. government. Tim Hernandez, author of All They Will Call You, creates a narrative that delivers portraits of the individual souls who, despite social status, race, or nationality, shared a common fate on this frigid January morning.
