'Captain Marvel' Trailer: Brie Larson Takes Flight As Renegade Superhero

Brie Larson is ready for war in the new Captain Marvel trailer.

Marvel Studios has premiered the first official preview of Larson as the title superhero, and we can vouch it's one of if not the best things you'll watch today.

In the first few frames, Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) makes her crash landing in the 1990s just after inheriting her alien powers, which are put on full display in the action-packed trailer when she becomes embroiled in a galactic war between her Kree allies and the shape-shifting humanoids known as Skrulls.

Larson's highly-anticipated entry into the Marvel Comics Universe has been a long time coming, but the film will finally see its release in theaters next spring.

Check out the trailer, below:

Captain Marvel breaks ground as the first MCU motion picture fronted by a woman, whom president Kevin Feige once called "more powerful than any character we've introduced thus far."

The Oscar-winning actress' comic book alter-ego first appeared as an Air Force pilot who comes into her abilities when an accident results in her DNA becoming imbued with that of an alien. Among those powers include superhuman strength, flight, and energy projection and absorption.

Danvers' appearance was previously alluded to during the post-credits of 2018's Avengers: Infinity War when Nick Fury sends her a distress call.

Captain Marvel opens March 8, 2019.
