Mom-To-Be Unsure About Name For Daughter Since Her Initials Would Be Awful

There are many struggles that go along with a pregnancy, but one of the biggest ones has nothing to do with morning sickness or appointments at the obstetrician - it's over what to name the baby. For some couples, the name comes easily, while others bicker about what to call their child, then there are some that choose a name they are happy with, only to later realize there might be an issue with it. That's just what happened to one mother, who shared her problem on Mumsnet.com

Her post reads:

"If we use the middle name we want our [daughter] will have initials which spell "LIAR." To add to it, her first name also rhymes with/ sounds a bit like "Liar." Would this put you off? The middle name in question has special significance for us so we want to use it if possible."

She got plenty of responses and just about all of them suggested she pick a different name, or at the very least, change the order of the middle names:

However, it's not that simple. The original poster explained that the "A" and the "R" are part of a hyphenated last name so they can't be moved around. She also doesn't want to add a fifth name in there since already, the girl's name will be long.

No word on what the mom-to-be plans to do, but, even with everyone urging her against it, she was leaning towards going with the name she had chosen, explaining, "I guess I just thought how often do you ever actually just use all your initials? I mean, I can't think of when I've ever used mine. Whenever I initial stuff I just use my first and last name."
