Dax Shepard And Kristen Bell Make 'Controversial' Christmas Choice For Kids

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are no strangers to causing controversy with their comments. Kristen recently made headlines when she revealed how often she smokes pot, and she also rocked the boat when she admitted to once nursing Dax from her breast. However, Dax's latest confession has really rocked the boat. The actor told Us Weekly that he told their kids, ages five and three, that there is no Santa Claus.

He explained to the magazine,

"This is going to be very controversial. I have a fundamental rule that I will never lie to them, which is challenging at times. Our five-year-old started asking questions like, 'Well, this doesn't make sense, and that doesn't make sense.' I'm like, 'You know what? This is just a fun thing we pretend while it's Christmas.'"

Thankfully, the revelation hasn't seemed to ruin little Lincoln and Delta's Christmas spirit. The kids still love the big man in the red suit. Dax said, "They love watching movies about Santa, they love talking about Santa. They don't think he exists, but they're super happy and everything's fine."
