Halsey Brings Out Boyfriend Yungblud During 2019 Wango Tango Performance

Halsey Wango Tango 2019

Love is in the air! Halsey surprised the crowd at 2019 iHeartRadio Wango Tango presented by JUVÉDERM Collection of Dermal Fillers in Los Angeles on June 1 by bringing out her boyfriend, YUNGBLUD, to perform their track “11 Minutes.”

The couple hit the stage together on the heels of their romantic getaway in Mexico, where Halsey broke her toe attempting to save a butterfly.

After performing hit tracks “Bad At Love,” “Eastside,” and “Now or Never,” Halsey teased her special guest.

“I brought a friend with me tonight,” she told the sold-out crowd at the Dignity Health Sports Park. “How many people are here tonight with someone you love?” she added, before telling the crowd “life is too precious” and delivering the collab alongside her English beau.

Halsey also performed powerful new female anthem “Nightmare.” She released the track just last month and shared the message behind the song is a necessary one.

“It just kinda came out of me. It was actually one of the first songs I wrote for the album. I was really just feeling that anger,” Halsey previously told iHeartRadio. “And the timeliness of it is really palpable … A lot of people have been like, 'Wow. Like, how did you know women were gonna need this song so much right now?' And I'm kinda like, ‘If you think this is our first time we've needed to be angry, then you haven't been paying attention.’”

The song also portrays Halsey’s own personal growth.

“I used to care, but now I don’t care that people care that I care if that makes any sense,” she also explained to Ryan Seacrest of her growth during an interview on May 17, adding that with “Nightmare” she also wanted to show this side of herself to fans.

“I made my first album, Badlands, when I was 19 and … all I could think about was the way the world revolved around me … I was really concerned about where I fit in and … I’m 24 now and I think that I don’t care so much about the world around me as much as it revolves in general which I think is just getting older and seeing things differently,” Halsey concluded. “…I had a weird thing this year, I just like wanted to do weird stuff … but, weird stuff with a purpose.”

We’re so here for it 🙌
