Cats Sneaked Into Forensics Center And Ate Dead Human Corpses

2 cats sneaked into Colorado Mesa University's Forensic Investigation Research Station, a forensics research facility, for a human corpse meal from bodies that were placed outside for research

For about 35 days, researchers monitored 2 cats who worked their way into the facility and started munching on the bodies, specifically the arms, abdomen, and shoulders of the corpses. Interestingly enough, the 2 cats decided to only eat from one body, each. Both corpses were senior citizens in their 70s.

Forensics research facilities specialize in helping researchers, coroners, and medical examiners study how (donated) human bodies decompose when placed in different outdoor situations. It turns out cats, maggots, dogs, and probably any animal, would eat anything if it's hungry enough. There have been cases where pet owners would pass away in the home and their pets would begin eating them out of hunger.
