Anthony Todt, 44, who murdered his wife Megan, 3 children (Alex, Tyler, and Zoe), and their dog owed $100,000 to creditors
Officers showed up to the home to do a welfare check after neighbors became concerned because they haven't seen the family outside of their home since mid-December 2019. Relatives claimed to have last heard from them in early January.
When authorities made it into the home, they found Mr. Todt had been living with the bodies of his dead family and was still communicating with relatives via text messages.
Upon further investigation, it was also learned that Anthony Todt, who worked as a physical therapist, had a 'False Claims Act investigation' being done on him after he moved from Connecticut two years earlier and was also facing eviction.
Todt and his family lived just outside of the Disney Hollywood Studios theme park in a gated community developed by Disney located in Celebration, Florida.
