Garth Brooks took a short break from touring in 2018, recorded new music, and planned a stadium tour

After more than a decade of retirement, the "Friends in Low Places" and "All Day Long" singer, Garth Brooks, announced his 2019 tour during a press conference at The Country Music Hall of Fame. So far, tickets for shows in 5 cities are on sale for his 10-to-12 different stadium stops. He made sure that he visits each of those cities at least once every 4 years.

Last week, Garth Brooks sold out his U.S. Bank Stadium show in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in only 90 minutes. The demand for the man is on fire! So much so that the governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton requested that Brooks add another date for his concert... and he did. He's challenging anyone to go to all of his shows. To date, he has sold an estimated 6 million concert tickets during his career.

Tickets are going for $95 on Ticketmaster. According to U.S. Bank Stadium, there have been more than 100,000 tickets sold (for BOTH shows).

Garth Brooks Music and Career

His latest release, "Anthology Part III 'Live'" goes inside the electric world of Garth Brooks LIVE where he takes fans through his journey headlining his own record-breaking tours and concerts. The audio set includes behind the scene stories, insider secrets, interviews and so much more.

To date, Garth Brooks, born February 7, 1962 (age 56 years), in Tulsa, OK, is the most commercially successful country music artist in history and the second-highest-certified music artist in the US behind The Beatles. He has sold well over 100 million albums during his career (so far) and has won two Grammy Awards, 17 American Music Awards (including "Artist of the '90s") and the RIAA Award for best-selling solo albums artist of the century in the U.S.

Seven of his album releases have achieved diamond status in the United States.  He is responsible for bringing the Nashville sound to the forefront in music on a national level in 1989. He's dominated the country music genre for over 10 years since and only went on hiatus to focus on his family with wife of 13 years, Trisha Yearwood (who just released a Frank Sinatra tribute album) and being a father to daughters Taylor (1992), August (1994) and Allie (1996).
