Homes Are Needed For An Adorable Litter Of Puppies

Right now there are 10, eight-week old puppies at Rancho Coast Humane Society who need homes. Their mom is a 4-year old Hound mix with a yellow/tan coat who weighs 50 pounds - the puppies are expected to be similar to her when fully grown.

The pups and their mom were transferred from an animal shelter in Imperial Valley through the FOCAS (Friends of County Animal Shelters) program when the puppies were just 5 weeks old.

A puppy becomes an adolescent, then an adult, then a senior that you will have for 10 to 20 years. If you can’t make that commitment…there are volunteer and donation opportunities.

Adoption fee for pups 6 months or younger is $195 plus a $50, refundable, training deposit. That includes physical and behavior exams, up to date vaccinations, spay/neuter, and registered microchip.

For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org. Kennels and Cattery open 11 AM to 5 PM every day but Tuesday.
