It All Makes Sense Now

Dear Diary,

What the heck was last week all about? What the heck is going on? Why is my brain mush and why can I not focus on anything? Why am I having a hard time making decisions? Why am I so emotional and irritable? What the heck is going on here?

Well, Linda just said four words and it all makes sense now: Mercury is in retrograde.

What does that even mean!! This retrograde nonsense goes from October 13th-November 3rd. That's right...Election Day. I looked it up online and found this...

"Here is just a sampling of some of the things that may go wrong in your life at this time: For example, no matter how well you and your spouse normally communicate, you'll find yourself misspeaking, saying the wrong thing and having disagreements you don't normally have.

At work, even though you're sure that you've explained yourself clearly to the other person, they do the opposite of what you said; and they are sure they followed your instructions. Your fail-proof computer crashes. You experience equipment and mechanical breakdowns of all types.

The monthly check that is automatically generated by your bank and sent out doesn't arrive, and neither does that merchandise you ordered online. Since Mercury rules transportation, equipment is unreliable; so it's not an ideal time to buy a car because it may be a "lemon."

So...What's the Problem?

These sorts of problems arise during Mercury retrograde because all of sudden, normal communication becomes unreliable, filled with misinformation where important data is missing or misunderstood. The passage of information from one person to the other seems to be unintentionally cloudy, confused or unclear in some way. After all, Mercury does rule the mind, mental clarity, talking, self-expression and overall communication. During the Retrograde period, a person's intellectual, communication and mental processes are less acute. They become careless, mistake-prone and forgetful.

This explains why your actions and decisions during the retrograde often fail or seem "sabotaged." Or, you may find that they will have to be re-done, re-structured; or adjusted in some way when the retrograde period ends and Mercury goes direct."

Whoa! I also found this:

TOP 10 Things NOT To Do During Mercury Retrograde

1. Don't Make Agreements.

2. Don't Accept or Start a Job.

3. Don't Try to Close the Sale.

4. Don't Initiate New Projects.

5. Scheduling Meetings.

6. Avoid Traveling A Lot.

7. Don't Purchase Computers or Begin Installations.T

8. Don't Repair Your Car, unless you absolutely have to.

9. Don't Buy Things.

10. Don't Select a Roommate or Move in With One.

I don't feel so insane now. I literally thought I was losing my mind last week!!

So, now that I'm in the know, I will settle down and keep making these cute bracelets. I bought all the beads and stuff at Walmart. I saw these same exact bracelets at Nordstrom for $20 a pop. I figured I could make them myself! What do you think?

I cranked these out all day Sunday even thought I have 800 things I need to do around the house.

I bought the greatest thing at Best Buy on Friday. It's a Blink mini camera that I put next to Elvis' crate. I can see him, hear him and talk to him when I'm out and about. Awesome!

Elvis and Mog are getting to know each other a little better. Mog is just like "This is my space, I am not scared of you and move outta my way."

Elvis is like "Wait, this toy moves! Must bark at moving toy...or do I play with it."

I'm like "Don't leave these two alone...EVER!" Made for some cute pics though.

Oh, Sanchez is busting out the peppers these days. Gonna try one tonight!

That's all I got, Diary.

I will see you next week. I leave you with a link to my podcast. Thank you for reading:)
