Lady Gaga understandably but regrettably announced she’d be delaying the release of her upcoming album Chromatica and tour in support of it because the record’s tone didn’t feel right during the current COVID-19 crisis, but while her music career is on hold, her film career is steaming forward.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, MGM and legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott have acquired the rights to the scripted true crime drama Gucci about the murder of fashion icon Maurizio Gucci who was the grandson of the original Gucci and Gaga is close to inking a deal to play his wife Patrizia who was found guilty of putting the hit on him.
MGM is so excited about the project they’ve already set a release date even though all the details aren’t ironed out.
According to reports it'll hit theaters November 21, 2021.
