The Great Cut San Diego: 2,000 Haircuts For Kids Who Can't Grow Hair

The Great Cut is a Hair-Whipping, Karate-Kicking, World Record Breaking Charity Event.

On Saturday, March 16th, 2019 The Great Cut will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most hair donated to charity in 24 hours. The hair will be donated to the very worthy 501(c)(3) nonprofit Children With Hair Loss. CWHL makes quality real hair wigs for Children With Medically Related Hair Loss at no cost to the family. They are aiming to donate over 200 lbs of hair on 3/16/19 which means they'll need over 2,000 women, children, and men with long hair to donate!

You can expect The Great Cut to be an event to remember. Their goal is an unmatched guest experience where you’ll have fun, meet good people, see what San Diego has to offer and feel welcomed like a bro—all while supporting an incredible effort to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

In short, it will be nothing less than extraordinary. Here’s what to look forward to:

The Incredible Venue - The Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier is a cruise ship terminal, event venue and public gathering space overlooking the San Diego Bay.

The Entertainment - The Great Cut will feature all day entertainment, including live music spanning genres from reggae to rock & roll, dancing, comedy, magic, martial arts and more.

Delicious Food & Beverages - Food trucks and vendors will be parked at the venue all day offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and beverages available for purchase. We’ll be featuring James Coffee and select beverage sponsors, with beer and wine also for purchase.

The In & Out Flow - Official event hours are 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM. You can stay at the event all day or come and go as you please.
