This Is How A 3-Legged Rescue Dog Learned To Take Her Own Photos VIDEO

You're probably used to seeing tons of photos that people have taken of and with their pets, but you probably haven't seen many taken by the pets themselves!

After adopting a plucky pooch named Scraps, Simone Giertz starting teaching the 3-legged, rescue dog basic tricks and commands. Giertz even tried to teach Scraps how to take a photo on her phone, but regardless of how clever the pooch might be, dog paws and smart phone aren't compatible.

So Giertz set out to create a selfie station where Scraps could take her own photos. As a creator with a workshop in Los Angeles, Giertz builds all sorts of things, so creating a selfie station for her dog was definitely in her wheelhouse.

She made the structure of the station from LEGO bricks and adapted a LEGO robotics kit for the mechanical pedal. Once complete, it was just a matter of teaching Scraps to use her paw to press on the pedal, which in turn snaps photos. As an added incentive, Giertz also installed a snack dispenser, so every time Scraps takes a photo, she's also rewarded with a treat!

Scraps the adorable, wonder dog now has her own Instagram account with over 37,000 followers. Check it out HERE.
