Come join us for a morning walk around San Diego's Lake Murray as we raise money to support children who have lost an immediate family member to cancer. It will be a great morning with family and friends as we "Walk On For Gina".
Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 7:30 - 10am at Lake Murray in San Diego.
To date, we have been able to donate $48,500 to provide resources and support to children who are losing or have lost a parent to cancer.
- We have sponsored children at Camp Erin, a bereavement camp for children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them. This camp, staffed by experts, helps children work through the painful and complicated grieving process.
- We have donated to Elizabeth Hospice to support their children's bereavement program which was able to open a second location in 2017!
- We have been able to sponsor three families through The Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation. This organization provides weekend retreats for children that have a parent with Stage IV cancer. A time for the family to put cancer on hold and spend time having fun and making memories.
Our wonderful sponsors more than cover all expenses of the walk so every single dollar you give will go directly to benefit these children and families.
