Kick off your summer weekends in style every Friday evening at Balboa Park’s hottest after-hours event, Food Truck Fridays. Visitors of all ages can enjoy live entertainment by talented local performers while eating gourmet dishes from a rotating selection of more than a dozen food trucks parked on the Plaza de Panama and El Prado walkway. Now in its fourth year, Food Truck Fridays is a program of the Balboa Park Conservancy in partnership with the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department.

Participate in a Q&A session led by track announcer Trevor Denman with famous jockeys and trainers, all while watching the horses during their morning workouts.Plus you can meet the Del Mar Mascot, Pony Boy, along with face painting, entertainers, and free prizes for the kids. The San Diego Museum of Man hosts another session of “Yoga in the Rotunda,” an instructor-led, all-levels flow class in the museum’s historic rotunda. Tickets to this event for non-museum members cost $10 ($5 for museum members), and you must complete “E-Club Member” enrollment on the museum’s website while buying your ticket. This unique yoga class is held the second and fourth Saturday of every month, so if you can’t make it this weekend, look ahead to your calendar and pencil it in for next time!

The 34th annual Philippine Cultural Arts Festival at the corner of Park Boulevard and Presidents Way in Balboa Park will take place both Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, celebrating Filipino culture through entertainment, dance, art, and food. The event is free; local vendors will sell traditional Filipino goodies like adobo, lumpia, pancit, and Halo-Halo.

ArtWalk @ Liberty Station celebrates 14 years of bringing visual arts, music, and interactive art-making for families to San Diego in beautiful Ingram Plaza at the Arts District at LIberty Station. The beautiful outdoor setting, surrounding a picturesque rose garden, is flat, grassy, and easily accessible for both artists and attendees. ArtWalk @ Liberty Station also features a shaded wine and beer pavilion and a street food area. Saturday:10am to 6pm; Sunday: 10am to 5pm.
