Man Kills His Family by Pouring Gasoline Into Wife's Car and Lighting It

Rowan Charles Baxter, 42, former NRL player for the New Zealand Warriors, burned his wife Hannah, 31, and their 3 young children: Aaliyah, 6, Laianah, 4, and Trey, 3, while they were getting dropped off at school on Raven Street in Camp Hill, Brisbane, Australia.

Nearby citizens tried to stop the fire but Rowan fought back. As the Kia Sportage burned, Rowan reached for a knife from his SUV and took his own life by stabbing himself in the chest.

Baxter's ex-wife managed to get out of the car but later died at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

A surveillance camera from a gas station showed Rowan filling up a gas container before the incident.

Rowan and Hannah had an Intergr8 and CrossFit SMC business together which they closed recently during their separation.
