It's Coming...

Dear Diary,

Something big is about to happen. Don't ask me what "it" is because I'm not sure. I just have a feeling that something is going to change and change for the better. Or, something is going to expand. Something. Big. Is. About. To. Happen. I should get the tattoo that Sheana on Pump Rules has "It's All Happening." Maybe I will when "it" happens.

The only issue that may arise (according to the psychic I saw a few months ago) is this...

"Mercury will be in retrograde motion between February 17 and March 10, 2020. It's thought that when Mercury is in retrograde, it can greatly influence your mood and actions. Because Gemini rules communications, be prepared for miscommunications when Mercury is in this sign. Expect lots of phone calls or none, and lost or misplaced mail. You may not articulate clearly, and gossip abounds. Old friends may reconnect."

What? Maybe the big thing will happen on March 11th.

Speaking of March, my 13 year sober "birthday" is on March 7th! That's the day of the Star 94.1 Pick-A-Purse-Party at Sycuan. Maybe we can all celebrate together. haha. Antonio will be there. Here's picture of him that I think is cute. He thinks it's super fake looking.

Antonio

Anyway, we celebrated his mom's birthday this weekend. She is the sweetest...and so is his dad. I met his sister, brother-in-law, brother, sister-in-law, two nieces and both his kids. I am practically part of the family! He hasn't met any of my family yet. That's probably because they live in Rancho Cucamonga. Maybe we will pay my mom a surprise visit soon.

Antonio and I went to Evan's singing showcase last week. She and her friend Maggie were great. I'm not just saying that because I'm biased. Evan can truly sing! I'm thinking to myself "Yah, she gets it from me." But, then, the other day, she said to me "I get my singing gene from dad."

What?

I guess she's right. I can't take credit for everything. haha. This is the night of the show. I am sick in this picture.

Showcase

Ugh. I was sick from work for THREE DAYS! I had no voice. That's a very bad thing when you're a traffic reporter on the air. And, this cough. I want to strangle it. Why does it linger so long!

Back to Evan, ever since she was cast as Elsa in her school production of Frozen, all I see everywhere I go, is Elsa. Like in Walmart the other day...

Elsa

And in TJ and on TV and in my dreams...Elsa. I am so proud of her. I cannot even wait to see it in May.

She's in another show this weekend that's she's been working on for months. It's called Silent Sky. She plays a 50-something-year-old, heavyset Scottish woman! She stole my Spanx so she could stuff the butt and stomach. We had to buy her a giant bra and she has to draw wrinkles on her face. The transformation will be amazing. I'll make sure to post lots of pics next week. And, her Scottish accent is ON POINT. She worked with a friend of the family, who is Scottish.

We saw our friend Jen's daughter, Jillian, in The Addams Family this weekend. It was so good! So many talented kids. When I was that age, I don't remember knowing any really talented people!!! Weird. Yesterday, Evan said "What would I do? What would I BE without theater? It's everything to me!" awww. Here's Jillian and Ev after Jill's show.

Ev and Jillian

Evan and I laughed so much this weekend. So much. I had one of those moments where I laughed so hard that I snorted and peed a little. This is what went down...

Antonio asked me "Do you like the weekend?"

I answered, with excitement, "Of course! I love Saturday and Sunday so much!"

He looks at me like I'm nuts and says "No, the singer, The Weekend?"

Oh, I just lost it...it struck me as so friggin funny. Anyway...

You're probably sick of seeing my Loteria Tiles, but I have to tell you about the development of my mural on the wood fence. Since the tiles fell off with those Command Strips attached (Don't ask me why I thought this would actually work,) we decided to use liquid nails to attach a small hook. Then Antonio nailed them to the fence. It totally worked.

I still need to collect 24 more!

Now onto Charlie, look at this great photo an old friend sent me the other day. Charlie was 3. This was his make-shift sandbox. And, this was the house from hell....the one that fell apart the minute we moved in. The haunted one.

Me and Charlie Throwback

You're probably wondering what's up with the socks. These are my hiking socks that I wear to bed every night. Antonio thinks they are so sexy...NOT! I need some self-tanner, btw, STAT! I cropped my translucent legs out of this pic! He says the eyes are looking up my nighty. I think these eyes are keeping evil away. And, yes, I have them on the wrong feet. What are ya gonna do?

socks.

I have a feeling I will have so much to tell you next Monday. Until then, See you later, Diary.

Here's a link to the Laura Cain After Dark Podcast, just in case you wanna catch up. :) Thank you!
