3,000 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized At Illegal Spring Valley Dispensary

Authorities raided an illegal marijuana dispensary in Spring Valley, reports FOX5.

They were able to seize thousands of pounds of marijuana and marijuana products, shutting down the illegal business, authorities announced on Thursday, April 8.

The search took place on Wednesday, April 7, at around 11:20 A.M.

San Diego County Sheriff's Sgt. Zheath Sanchez told the press a SWAT team served the warrant at the illegal dispensary located in the 10600 block of Willie Baker Way.

During their search, deputies confiscated around 3,000 pounds of marijuana and marijuana products, four handguns, one shotgun, and over $5,000 in cash.

According to Sgt. Sanchez, the impounded marijuana had an estimated street value of over $2 million.

Sanchez also said five personnel were at the scene to inspect the business and they found numerous code violations.

Due to the violations, San Diego Gas & Electric removed power from the business.

This isn't the only big marijuana raid to happen in the San Diego area in recent times.

In March, San Diego County Sheriff's detectives found over $1 million at an illegal marijuana cultivation site in Warner Springs. Investigators said the products were intended to be sold at illegal dispensaries in Souther California.
