Taylor Swift was feeling the magic while in Ireland for a run of Eras Tour shows over the weekend, revealing to the Dublin crowd that the country and its storytelling were some of the inspirations behind one of her highly-lauded albums.

On Saturday (June 29), Swift shared that Ireland played a big part in the "world" of her 2020 album Folklore, revealing that the album "in general, it just belongs in Ireland," per People. She went on to praise the Irish history of storytelling, adding that she followed that style to try a "different" approach to songwriting on the album where she was able to be a narrator rather than just telling her own experiences.

"How I imagined the album world looking [was like] Ireland. Storytelling with lots of different characters," she said, adding "we're back where we belong" by performing tracks from the album in the country that inspired it. "You guys have that on lock, too. That's very Irish, the storytelling."

She added, "When I was making this album, it was two days into the pandemic that I started Folklore, I wasn't in Ireland. So I had to create an album where the imaginary world that I pretended to go to every single day while I was writing it... I gotta be honest, kinda seemed like Ireland."

Swift's Eras Tour stops in Ireland's capital city were more standout shows in a long line of exciting performances. Another moment that capture Swifties' attention was when the Midnights singer was faced with a malfunction on stage that left her stranded on top of a raised platform.
