DNA Testing Used to Identify September 11 Victims

September 11 victims are being identified using DNA testing

Medical examiners are using the latest techniques in DNA testing to identify unknown victims of the September 11th terror attack in New York

One man's remains became the latest of 1,642 people to recently go on the "identified" list, and who has been unidentified for nearly 17 years has finally been identified as Scott Michael Johnson, by The New York medical examiners office. Johnson was an employee at an investment banking company at the World Trade Center before he died on that fateful day. 

Almost 3,000 people died in the September 11th attacks.

Even remains that have been badly damaged during the attacks are getting a 2nd chance of being identified thanks to the latest techniques in DNA testing.
