33-year-old Maralyn Ramos was recorded by security cameras calmly picking up and walking out with a 4-year-old boy at the McDonald's at 1310 East Olympic Blvd in downtown Los Angeles around 3:15 pm, Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
There was another kidnapping attempt involving another 4-year-old at a different location near the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd and San Pedro St. a few days earlier. Authorities do not believe Ramos was involved with that.
A witness ran outside of the restaurant to stop the woman from entering her car who later fleed on foot from the scene. She was later identified and arrested around 10:45pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
She is currently held on $100,000 bond.
