Managing Stress and Anxiety

This is 60 Seconds to Better Health from Kaiser Permanente. This is Dr. Larissa LaCorte, a psychiatrist at Kaiser Permanente San Diego with an important message about managing stress and anxiety. Difficult situations can cause worrisome thoughts, trouble sleeping, and difficult to getting through your day -to -day activities. Practicing self -care is critical when feeling stressed and anxious. Number one, get enough rest, aim for at least eight hours of sleep, and try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Number two, avoid caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine. Number three, move your body. Exercise is a powerful weapon to combat stress and anxiety, and even a 10 -minute walk can have a big impact to alleviate your symptoms.
