Adopt Big Tex

He loves other dogs. He love toys. He loves walks. But mostly, he loves people.  Meet Big Tex, a 5-year old American Pit Bull mix who is looking for a new home.

You’ve heard the saying, “Looks can be deceiving.” That’s Big Tex. He looks kind of gruff. The fact is, Big Tex is a marshmallow. He has no idea he’s a big dog. That’s why he’s happy to sit on your lap. He loves other dogs. Big dogs. Little dogs. He loves ‘em all. He loves going for walks and playing with his toys. But mostly, he loves people.

Big Tex was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society from another shelter through the FOCAS program.

As part of our weekly PET ADOPTION WEEKLY SEGMENT (PAWS), we're hoping you or someone you know will be interested in making Big Tex a part of the family.  Learn more about Big Tex.  PAWS is brought to you by Nick Adamo’s Farmer’s Insurance Agency.

The $145 adoption fee for Big Tex includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. For more information call 760-753-6413, visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas, or log on to SDpets.org.Kennels and Cattery open 11 AM to 5 PM every day except Tuesday.

Nick Adamo is a huge dog lover and animal advocate. He started partnering with Rancho Coastal Humane Society two years ago because RCHS’ main goal is to encourage adoption of animals into permanent, loving homes. RCHS’ adoption process is tailored to find the best match between people and pets and also promote humane ideals through education and community outreach pets and people. Nick is proud to support Rancho Coastal Humane Society and all that they do for animals.
