I wanted to share my FIT IQ results

Delana visting Pathway Genomics FIT IQ

I have to admit, ever since I heard about genetic testing for your health, I've been curious.  So when I had an opportunity to try it, I couldn't pass it up.  I visited Pathway Genomics, a San Diego company who does dozens of types of genetic testing.  I chose FIT IQ, it's a test that gives you a perfect look at what foods and fitness are best for your body.  You swab your cheek, send it in and then wait for your results.  I got back a 26 page report on some of the mysteries of my DNA.  For instance, I have a gene that makes me want to overindulge (so I need to pay attention at events and parties).  I have a gene that makes me more likely to gain back weight (great.. but good to know).  I have a genetic makeup that benefits from a low fat diet (I had been eating high protein diet for a long time) - since I switched over I've already lost a couple of pounds.  I found out that I can benefit more from endurance training (biking, walking), and that certain healthy fats are great for me.  I also can't metabolize caffeine very well, so that's why I don't feel so great when I have too much caffeine.   When I talked to my dietician/nutritionist Christine, she sent me a ton of stuff on recipes, and foods that would benefit my body more than others.  Are you curious now?  www.buyfitiq.com is the website you can visit to find out more.  If you take the test, let me know how your results turn out too. ~  Delana
