San Diego Storms Reveal SS Monte Carlo Shipwreck

It only happens when the conditions are right and right now you can see the outline of the ship on Coronado. I've gotta try to get there this weekend. It's one of those San Diego bucket list things to do. The ship has been there since 1937 - it was a gambling ship, so when it wrecked no one wanted to claim it. Here's a great story about the history of the ship and why it's still on the coast of Coronado. https://lajollamom.com/ss-monte-carlo-coronado-shipwreck/
