California is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world.
Be it calm, crystal waters, beautiful green flora and fauna to compliment the clear blue sky that stretches far into the horizon, or charming towns that compliment the coastline, something about this beach makes it stand out from the rest.
According to a list compiled by U.S. News & World Report, the best beach in all of California for 2024 is Laguna Beach.
This beach is known for its absolutely stunning views, public parks, and community sites teaming with history. Other beaches on the list include La Jolla Beach in San Diego, Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, Malibu, and Pismo Beach near San Luis Obispo to round out the top 5.
Here's what U.S. News & World Report had to say about the best beach in California for 2024:
"Laguna Beach is the kind of destination so beautiful you have to see it to believe it, and when you do, you'll be in total awe of its splendor. But there is certainly more to Laguna Beach than its good looks. The town has a palpable penchant for the arts that can be found not only inside the many galleries that line PCH but also the streets; there are more than 100 public art pieces spread throughout town. There is also a deep appreciation for flora and fauna here. Whale watching is a revered past time, the headquarters for the rescue and rehabilitation for Orange County coast seal population is located here, and the town is home to plenty of wildflower-filled coastal parks, including one of the last preserved coastal canyons in southern California."
