Rite Aid is closing more than 800 stores. The once popular drug store chain on Tuesday announced more than 100 locations would be shutting down.
The company is in the process of selling some of its storefronts and prescription files to other retail pharmacy chains. It has been listing dozens of stores designated for closure weekly as part of its most recent bankruptcy filing.
The latest round of closures include locations in Alpine, Bonita, El Cajon on Jamacha Road, and stores on Coronado Avenue and Highlands Place in San Diego.
Previous closures included:
Chula Vista: 740 Otay Lakes Road
Lakeside: 9532 Winter Gardens Boulevard
San Diego: 535 Robinson Avenue, 3650 Adams Avenue
The closures listed above are pending court approval and could face objections from property owners.
