It's been confirmed again. Sewage from the Tijuana River is affecting people who live in the South Bay both physically and mentally.
The CDC has released new data on the sewage crisis in the South Bay and finds 64 percent of people in the area have a new, or woresning symptom related to the sewage flowing across the border.
When it comes to mental health, nearly a third of people say living with the sewage smell triggers symptoms of depression. Nearly 70-percent say they don't think it's safe to work, live or even visit the South Bay.
The study included people who live in Imperial Beach, Otay Mesa West, San Ysidro and Coronado.
