San Diego Hospitals Conducting Mask & Glove Donation Drives

If you have unused personal protective equipment (PPE) and supplies that you are willing to donate, the San Diego medical community needs your help. A shortage of critical items, such as medical grade masks, gloves, protective gowns, and goggles or eye/face shields are needed for as the threat of the coronavirus pandemic continues to grow.

The county's major medical systems are managing supplies, but as San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer admitted, the “storm” of this pandemic is yet to arrive so facilities need to shore up supplies of protective gear.

UCSD San Diego Health is accepting medical-grade equipment/supply donations as follows.

  • Drop off: at their Medical Center in Hillcrest, but you'll need to coordinate a Monday - Friday drop-off time with Carlos Olvera in advance,
  • Ship to: UC San Diego 200 West Arbor Drive, Attention COVID-19, San Diego, CA 92103

Sharp HealthCare has set up drive-through donation locations starting Wednesday, March 24. The drive through locations will be open Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm and Saturdays from 12 noon - 4pm.
