Disney CEO Bob Iger Talks Alcohol At Disneyland
Walt Disney once banned alcohol. But now, alcohol is already served at some Walt Disney World restaurants. And starting next year, alcohol will now be served at Star Wars Land at Disneyland. Some people are upset about this. But how does Walt Disney Company C.E.O. Bob Iger feel about alcohol finally being served at Disneyland? In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said:
"We have to be careful we don’t let people drink and then go on Autopia. (Laughs)."
And when the interviewer pointed out that Walt Disney himself banned alcohol, Bob said:
"Yeah, except I think Walt had a nip or two in his apartment at night. (Laughs). I am a big believer on tradition. This just seemed like one of those traditions that if we changed it, the empire wasn’t going to crumble."
