Three brush fires in the East County continue to burn Friday morning and have prompted evacuations East of Jamul.
The "Springs Fire" as they're being called, started Thursday along Lyons Valley Road and Honey Springs Road.
Firefighters say they stopped the forward rate of spread on one fire, while two others have merged.
Roughly 50 acres has burned and the fire is 10 percent contained as of early Friday morning. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The CHP has issued a number of road closures in the area and an evacuation point is set up at Edwards Cinema on Jamacha Road in El Cajon.
