Former Miss Teen San Diego, Mimi Barraza was murdered 32 years ago, near City Heights, while talking with some friends outside a home.
Police say a stolen white Chevy van drove up and fired several shots into the group. One bullet struck Barraza in the head, killing her and leaving her 2 year old without a mother.
Investigators say the suspects are Hispanic males with ties to a Logan Heights gang.
Police said the van the gang members were in sped away from the scene and was located several hours later that morning abandoned at the intersection of 19th and G streets.
The van had been reportedly stolen the previous day.
