City Council To Debate Parking Fees At Balboa Park

The San Diego City Council will on Monday, decide on paid parking at Balboa Park.

An approved ordinance would mean different lots would charged different prices. High demand lots closest to museums would charge $12 a day. Parking lots farther away will be six dollars per day, but the first two hours would be free.

City staff estimate the parking spots will bring in $750,000 to the city over the remaining course of Fiscal Year 2026, and $1 million annually thereafter.

If the Council passes the plan, paid parking would begin early next month.
