One person was killed in a fiery crash on state Route 163 in the Mission Valley area early Tuesday morning.
The crash happened along the southbound 163 near Friars Road just after 2 a.m.
The CHP reports one car was involved in the wreck, and burst into flames, killing one person.
Due to the emergency response, several southbound lanes were shut down for about an hour.
