He was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS). Roko was adopted, then returned after 6 years when his owner moved and could not take him along.

He was adopted again, then returned after a year.

Roko is not a cuddle buddy, but he will want to be near you, and he will decide how much contact he wants.

The $125 adoption fee for Roko includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and a registered microchip.

During November “Adopt a Senior Pet Month” Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas is encouraging families to meet older cats and dogs available for adoption. There are lots of advantages to adopting a senior pet:

·     You know what you’re getting.

·     Unlike kittens or puppies, it’s not a 24-7 job to adopt a senior pet.

·     Senior pets usually settle into their new homes more quickly.

·     You can match a senior pet with your activity level.

·     When you adopt a senior pet…you’re a hero!

·     If you are 60 or older and you adopt a senior pet 7 years or older, the adoption fee will be paid by a generous Rancho Coastal Humane Society benefactor.
