Wanheda wan-HAY’-da
Wanheda is a 3-year-old, 7-1/2-pound, female, Domestic Medium Hair cat with a Brown Tabby coat.
Wanheda was at a crowded, local shelter. She was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS.)
She’s a medium energy cat. Her report card calls her “a little house tiger with a sweet soul and a delicate heart.” She will do best in a home with a patient family that will help her to feel safe. She really likes to cuddle and sunbathe.
The $100 adoption fee for Wanheda includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip.
For more information visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas or log on to www.SDpets.org. The kennels and cattery are open 11 to 4 Thursday through Monday, and by appointment on Wednesday. (Watch for extended hours starting December 1st.)
During November “Adopt a Senior Pet Month” Rancho Coastal Humane Society is encouraging families to meet older cats and dogs available for adoption. There are lots of advantages to adopting a senior pet:
· You know what you’re getting.
· Unlike kittens or puppies, it’s not a 24-7 job to adopt a senior pet.
· Senior pets usually settle into their new homes more quickly.
· You can match a senior pet with your activity level.
· If you are 60 or older and you adopt a senior pet 7 years or older, the adoption fee will be paid by a generous Rancho Coastal Humane Society benefactor.
