Breed:           Domestic Medium Hair cat with a Brown Tabby coat

Wanheda is a 3-1/2-year-old, 9-pound, female, Domestic Medium Hair cat with a Brown Tabby coat.

She was at a crowded, local shelter. They needed space, so Wanheda was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS.)

She’s a medium energy cat. Her report card calls her a little “house tiger” with a sweet soul and a delicate heart. She will do best in a home with a patient and gentle family that will help her to feel safe. She really likes to cuddle and sunbathe.

The $100 adoption fee for Wanheda includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip.

Adopt a "recycled" dog, cat, or rabbit this Earth Day, April 22nd, and lessen your “carbon pawprint." Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas reminds you:

·Earth Day includes adopting recycled pets from shelters or rescues rather than supporting puppy mills or backyard breeders that harm the environment.

·Most vets are happy to help you design a diet that provides the vitamins and minerals your pet needs with less impact on the environment.

·Pick up after your pets! When you don't, it can end up in the ocean or our drinking water. For extra impact, use biodegradable poop bags.

·Spaying or neutering your pet will eliminate unwanted kittens or puppies.

Ask your vet about safe options to control fleas and ticks.

You can also recycle used items or buy used items and support animals at the RCHS Thrift Shop at 120 Aberdeen Drive in Cardiff by the Sea.
